Project Overview

Forster Group has successfully completed a significant solar PV installation at Fife Creamery’s Innovation Hub and refrigeration warehouse. This project, part of a £230,000 investment, features over 700 solar panels and a battery storage system, generating 211 kWp of clean energy.

The solar installation is projected to save Fife Creamery over £3 million in energy costs over 20 years, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Since its launch in May 2024, the system has already achieved a 66% reduction in energy bills. This project aligns with Fife Creamery’s 2040 sustainability goals and demonstrates the significant impact of solar energy in the food and drink sector.

The InRange platform provides guaranteed 10-year fixed export tariffs, with AI-powered matching of surplus energy to data centre and other in-network building demand through the InRange Marketplace.

The £2.7 million pledged in grant funding from National Grid, part of their Social Contract, is pivotal in enabling schools in areas of higher deprivation and those with free school meal eligibility to access clean, renewable energy without upfront costs.
